I went to see Dr Sheel about problems with my wrist and ankles which seem to be exacerbated by exercise. The upshot is I learned more about his own injuries than him dealing with mine. The fact that I have a persistent sprain or strain happening with my wrist, and has been on-going for nearly 2 years doesn't seem important. The advice was simply to stop doing anything which aggravates it - oh like driving a car or carrying anything - let alone any exercise. With regards to my ankles, he advised me that humans weren't designed to run long distances, and if I ran them, and ran on pavements then I was going to get pain. Perhaps I could try different trainers! (Which I already have already having been properly assessed) A total waste of my time and I have come out feeling very dissatisfied.

Trent Medows surgery is a great surgery. I had no complaints at all, me and my family are registered here and they were great all throughout my pregnancy for midwife appointments and I felt I was getting the right care. I have since had my baby and today at my postnatal appointment I felt the doctor I went to see wasn't very communicative and seemed like he was in a rush in which he didn't ask me the questions I thought I would be asked at a postnatal appointment. this isn't the first time I have had this certain doctor and I have felt the same previously at an appointment with him for my new born baby and then I also felt he was just rushing to get us in and out, now I know that it is a surgery and that doctors are very busy people and have a lot more patients to deal with but I don't think that's an excuse to just rush everything. Thankfully I didn't have to go for anything more serious just to be dismissed and left to feel like I didn't get the right care or treatment. It's a shame really because the surgery is a great surgery and very sanitary and always clean, I've never had any other complaints about anything or any other doctor but these experiences have made me feel like I would rather wait longer before I call for an appointment incase I am given another appointment with this same doctor.

Hard to get through on the phone (common to all practises). Difficult to get an appointment as a worker when you want. (common to all practises). Suggest: A block of vacant appointments are kept for people who are in work. Big bug bear is that practises declare that should you be late or miss an appointment they may remove you from their Practice list', but I can't remember seeing a doctor on time, they usually make you wait at least 10 minutes after the appointment time and that's at the start of the day (I usually opt for the first appointment which I book two weeks in advance so I can get back to work). I was told by one Doctor when I pointed out he was over 15 minutes late that I was welcome to find another practice. This is true and I found it quite amusing as he was young and I had been a practice member for over 60yrs. Sorry to point out the negatives but that's what we do
